Grass & Tree Branch Collection Sites

Grass Collection Sites Available For Seasonal Use

For your convenience, the City of Mandan has grass collection sites throughout the city usually from spring through fall. There is no charge to citizens of Mandan. The Public Works Department places grass and leaf collections bins at five designated sites in the spring. Typically around the beginning of March grass sites open as long as dumpsters can be placed without causing damage to the ground or parking lots where they are located. These sites are closed during the winter months, but grass, leaves and garden waste may be disposed of at the landfill for free.

Mandan Branch Collection Site (#3 on the list below) - Residents can dispose of tree branches under 4 inches in diameter at the collection site near Highway 1806 South and 8th Avenue SE. Tree branches greater than 4 inches in diameter must be taken to the landfill (a fee of $15 per ton for Mandan residents will be charged). Contractors are not permitted to use the collection site and must dispose of all branches at the landfill. Contractors will be charged $20 per ton for branch disposal.
